Find a bright blue MacJack sticker on a vending machine. Scan the QR code on the sticker or use your phone to read the NFC tag. This will open the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, so you can download the app.
When you scan the sticker on a machine, the account for that machine will be created automatically. You can use this account to shop at any machine run by the same operator (a company that fills the machine, such as Coca-Cola or Selecta). You can also add as many accounts as you need for different operators.
You have downloaded your MacJack app; good job! It’s time to add your payment method. Navigate to the wallet icon on the app home screen and add your bank card information. After adding your bank card, you can choose the amount and top up the account.
MacJack supports a top up with cash, all the major card schemes – Mastercard, Visa, Amex, as well as Google Pay and Apple Pay.
You can start the purchase in two ways. You could scan the QR code on the MacJack sticker or tap the NFC area if you previously enabled NFC payment on your phone.
If you have multiple MacJack accounts and you’ve just topped up one of them, but your balance shows as 0 during a purchase, check which account is synced with the machine. The machine automatically connects to the MacJack account linked to the operator of that machine (the company that stocks the machine with products).
Paying with MacJack is much simpler than paying with other wallets. Once you top up your account, simply scan the QR code on the sticker, and the balance will be deducted for the product price. You don’t need to authorize your purchase or insert a PIN number. Additionally, you can send feedback directly through the app if something goes wrong with your purchase and receive a much faster response.
If your vending machine operator sets up a promotion or reward program, you will receive a notification in your MacJack inbox. You can navigate to your inbox to see all the messages you have received, including promotion details.
